CPU Announces New Superintendent to Begin July 1, 2026 Full Press Release

Center Point–Urbana Community School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Tesha Moser-Zimmerman as the new Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2026.

Tesha brings extensive experience in educational leadership, systems design, and service delivery at both the regional and statewide levels. She currently serves as Associate Administrator/Director of Educational Services at Keystone Area Education Agency (AEA) and Executive Director of Educational Services at Central Rivers AEA, where she has led large-scale initiatives focused on improving student learning, strengthening organizational culture, and guiding schools through complex change.

Throughout her career, Tesha has demonstrated a strong commitment to clear goals, collaborative leadership, and continuous improvement. Her work has included leading accreditation efforts, developing implementation-focused professional learning, aligning instructional and operational systems, and supporting districts through coaching, planning, and partnership. She has also played a key role in statewide initiatives and served in leadership roles with Iowa’s Area Education Agencies, overseeing significant budgets, policy alignment, and board governance.

Tesha earned advanced degrees in superintendency and PK–12 principalship from the University of Northern Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Mount Mercy University. Her background as both a classroom educator and systems leader informs her belief that all students can learn when environments are intentionally designed to remove barriers and support success.

The CPU School District looks forward to her leadership as she partners with staff, students, families, and the community to build on the district’s strengths and guide its continued growth.
