In accordance with the passing of SF 2170 by the Iowa Legislature, the Notice to Bidders process in Iowa Code 26.3 for informing the bidding community of the district’s intent to solicit competitive bids for a public improvement project will be posted here.

Requests for Proposals (RFP) or Requests for Quotes (RFQ)

A request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) is a solicitation made through a bidding process to procure a service or valuable asset. The RFP or RFQ process brings structure to the decision-making process and helps to identify the risks and benefits upfront. Please refer to the links for deadlines, special requirements, and contact information. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: Bids for the Center Point – Urbana Community School District – Primary School Playground Improvements project will be received on March 7th, 2024 at the District Office Conference Room, 145 Iowa Street, Center Point, Iowa 52213, before 2:00 p.m., CST, according to the designated clock in the Conference Room at which they will be publicly opened and read shortly after 2:00 p.m..  

A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th, 2:00p.m. local time at the Center Point – Urbana District Office Conference Room, 145 Iowa Street, Center Point, Iowa 52213.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted.  Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, Certified Share Draft or an approved Bond Form. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date and hour set for opening of bids.

The anticipated construction schedule is between June 10, 2024 and August 8, 2024.
