Mr. K.C. Tupa grew up in Rolla, ND and graduated from Rolla High School in 1995.  He then attended Dana College in Blair, NE from 1995-1999 and graduated with a Social Science/Secondary Education BA degree while playing Football, Basketball, and Baseball.

Mr. Tupa was hired at Center Point Urbana High School in the fall of 2000 and taught World History, Sociology, Psychology, Consumer Economics, Current World Issues, Street Law, and Service Learning for 19 years. In addition to teaching, he has been an assistant coach for girls and boys basketball, assistant boys golf, junior high baseball, 9th grade baseball, and head boys basketball coach.  For many years he had the pleasure of coordinating the annual Veteran’s Day ceremony for the district.  

In 2011 Mr. Tupa earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Iowa.  Mr. Tupa was hired as the Center Point Urbana Middle School Principal in 2019.  

Mr. Tupa and his wife Steph have 4 children: Kole (born 2001), Kanon (born 2003), Easton (born 2004), and Addy (born 2006).  The family is actively involved in the school and community and are proud to be Stormin’ Pointers.
